Part-Time Contract Designer (Digital Marketing)

Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time, contract Designer to support client marketing work that is primarily digital. This role focuses on executing high-quality, on-brand marketing assets for multiple clients within an agency environment. The Designer will work within established brand guidelines, templates, and systems—this is not a new website or brand creation role.
This is an individual contributor role ideal for a formally trained designer who enjoys maintaining and extending brands, working efficiently, and collaborating with marketing and strategy teams.

Time Commitment: Approximately 15-30 hours per month (with potential for fluctuation and growth based on client demand)

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor

 

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing Asset Development

  • Design digital marketing assets for client use, including:
  • Landing pages and campaign-related visuals
  • Gated content and digital collateral
  • Proposal and presentation design support
  • Execute work that aligns with established brand standards and messaging

 

HubSpot CMS & Web Design (Required)

  • Design and build landing pages within HubSpot CMS
  • Apply brand styling, layout best practices, and basic web design principles
  • Update and maintain existing pages as part of ongoing brand and campaign support
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure content, design, and functionality are properly aligned

 

Canva, PowerPoint & WordPress Design

  • Design and update assets in Canva for client deliverables
  • Create and refine master slides in PowerPoint p, develop visuals for presentations and develop proposal templates and materials
  • Make basic design updates within WordPress sites, working within existing themes and structures
  • Maintain consistency across platforms and formats

 

Social Media Template Design (Preferred)

  • Design social media post imagery and story templates aligned with client brands, including reels and carousel images.
  • Create flexible, reusable templates that support ongoing content needs
  • Ensure templates are practical for non-designers to use when appropriate

 

Print Design

  • Support print design needs such as one-pagers, handouts, banners, postcards
  • Prepare files correctly for print when required “Prepare Print Ready Files for print collateral”

 

AI-Forward Design & Workflow Development

We are an AI-forward agency and actively exploring how AI can improve efficiency, consistency, and creative execution across our work. This role will contribute to helping us thoughtfully integrate AI into design-related workflows.

Areas of focus include:

  • AI-supported social media template creation and variation
  • Proposal and presentation design workflows
  • Leveraging our proprietary AI agent and internal tools to improve speed and consistency

The ideal candidate:

  • Is curious about how AI can enhance (not replace) strong design
  • Is comfortable experimenting with AI-assisted tools for ideation, layout, and production
  • Is interested in helping develop repeatable, efficient design workflows using AI
  • Enjoys collaborating with others to test, refine, and document AI-supported processes

You do not need to be an AI expert—but enthusiasm for learning, experimenting, and contributing ideas is required.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Formal design training (degree or equivalent professional education required)
  • Strong digital design skills with a solid understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Required experience with the following tools:
  • HubSpot CMS (landing pages and web content)
  • WordPress (basic page and layout updates)
  • Canva
  • PowerPoint
  • Experience maintaining and extending established brand systems
  • Interest in AI-assisted design workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to receive feedback and iterate efficiently

 

Agency Environment Expectations

  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor in an agency environment
  • Able to work efficiently within defined time budgets
  • Comfortable supporting multiple clients and shifting priorities
