Q: What’s the most rewarding aspect of what you do on a daily basis?
A: It’s seeing all the pieces of a project come together for a client. It’s really great when I see all the data, branding and the compiled information – and then the finished product is ready for the client. And knowing it will assist their business to grow makes it even better.
Q: With technology changing rapidly, how do you adapt to all of that change – in terms of your job and what you need to do for clients?
A: With all the changes, I am frequently learning new platforms and tools on the go. I actually enjoy the change or learning the new ways technology has been changed. For the most part, the changes end up making my job to help get clients marketing campaigns done easier. However, there have been times when things like LinkedIn will eliminate something that we have worked hard on with a client. That can be frustrating, but we always re-strategize and move forward!
Q: What are some of the things that you love most about the accounting marketing consulting profession?
A: As a newcomer to accounting marketing, I am loving learning and being challenged to try and do new things.
Q: So many possibilities exist for public accounting firm clients – what areas do they really need to focus on with their marketing?
A: I think the biggest thing they can focus on is having a focused marking plan and executing it. So often, ideas are brought up or added to a list, but they get left behind in the commotion. Having a process of benchmarking what has been done, what has sparked growth, and what needs to be fixed – will go a long way.
A: I love to spend time with my family. We love to spend time at our family lake house – swimming, fishing and boating! With three boys at home, there is never a dull moment … and I love it all. From the wrestling, to the baking and to all of the sports!
