Ty Hendrickson, CPA
Senior Consultant
Ty Hendrickson, CPA, is a Fractional Chief Revenue Officer and sales evangelist who helps accounting firms build real revenue engines — not just chase more referrals. Prior to Inovautus, Ty served as Chief Revenue Officer at CSA Partners, where she led revenue strategy in-house, giving her firsthand experience building and running the systems, accountability structures, and coaching programs she now helps firms design for themselves.
By implementing these strategies, her clients are distinguishing themselves as trusted advisors and are finding new growth opportunities in a highly competitive market.
Ty is based in Lexington, KY where she lives with her CPA husband and her two red-headed sons.
- Growing up in Kentucky, Ty developed a deep love for University of Kentucky basketball and horseracing like all good Lexingtonians, but just can’t seem to muster the same love for Kentucky Bourbon. (She also hopes to not get kicked out of the state for publicly admitting this.)
- Ty is the only non-red head in her family with a red-headed husband and two red-headed boys. She has had to buy stock in sunscreen!
- Ty is not only a CPA herself, but also married to a CPA whom she met at her father’s CPA firm. Accounting runs deep with Ty.
Ty is a contributing expert in the accounting industry, who has been selected to speak at conferences and events hosted by the AICPA, Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance, Association for Accounting Marketers, Alliott Global Alliance, CPAmerica, CCH User Conference, and more. You can find her articles and insights featured in CPA Trendlines and the AFWA blog.
Q + A With Ty
build a revenue engine as a core part of their business — one where growth isn't left to chance or a handful of natural rainmakers. That means putting real infrastructure in place: a defined sales process, partner accountability, coaching, and tracking that make business development a repeatable system rather than a once-a-year push. Growth shouldn't feel like a sales campaign bolted onto the firm — it should be a natural, sustainable part of how the firm operates and serves its clients.
I've watched too many talented accounting firms cap their own growth simply because no one owned revenue the way they own the numbers on a balance sheet. Having grown up around this industry and later led revenue in-house as a specialty tax firm's own CRO, I know firsthand that sales isn't the missing ingredient — accountability and infrastructure are. I do this work because I believe firms shouldn't have to choose between staying true to their advisory culture and building the kind of predictable, sustainable growth engine that secures their future.
Through my work as a Fractional CRO with Inovautus Consulting, I get to build the revenue infrastructure, coaching, and accountability systems that create that light bulb moment — the point where a partner who's dreaded business development their whole career suddenly sees a repeatable process they can actually follow. I get to watch firms move from fearing growth to owning it with confidence. That transformation — seeing people and firms accomplish what once felt out of reach — is what drives everything I build into my engagements.
There's a reason most revenue advice falls flat inside accounting firms: it's built by people who've never sat across from a client during tax planning, or by accountants who've never had to own a number. I've lived on both sides of that line — as a CPA who then spent my career building and running sales and revenue functions, including as an in-house CRO.
That's what lets me build revenue systems CPAs actually trust and adopt — because I'm not asking partners to become salespeople, I'm building the infrastructure and accountability that let them grow without losing who they are.
