Reflections on Growth: 2016

The holidays are a wonderful time for reflection. At Inovautus, we live and breathe the qualities of a growth mindset, professional innovation and integrity all year long. As we enter the last two weeks of 2016, we want to take some time to reflect on all our successes from the past year.

Our most significant accomplishments always come through our clients and 2016 has been an exciting year. We watched our clients grow by tackling some of the big issues that were holding their firms back and we saw many of our clients embrace unfamiliar ideas and chart new ground. We are proud to say that these bold steps are sure to help them prosper long into the future.

Our clients’ growth inspires and motivate us, but our passion for growth and innovation doesn’t stop with our fantastic clients. In 2016, our team achieved internal growth by developing new services for the market we serve.

• Faced with the fact that many firms still struggle with specialization, over this past year we rolled out and formalized our Practice Group and Go-To-Market consulting services. To do this, we solidified a lot of our training concepts and framework in order to help firms and practice leaders successfully bring specialization to market and ensure it thrives.

• While many of our clients have benefited a great deal from our in-firm training services, over this past year it became clear to us that there was a need for more training in the areas of leadership and business development. We responded to this need by collaborating with Convergence Coaching to roll out Rainmaker Development Program® training.

• In addition to the above advancements, we also brought value-added resources to our network through the addition of two webinars.

Within the “walls” of Inovautus, Heidi Holmberg was promoted to Administrator and is enjoying more interaction with our clients; Kari Schott is leading our business development training initiatives; and I was humbled to be named to Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting and CPA Practice Advisor’s 20 Under 40 list.

We look forward to more exciting changes in the year to come and we thank you for the trust you place in us and for allowing us to serve you. We look forward to a prosperous 2017 with you.
